BHR Accelerator 3rd Round, Local Session 1

On February 26th, the UN Global Compact Network Georgia hosted the first local session of the third round of the Business and Human Rights Accelerator. The session provided a detailed summary of the first global session and outlined the key expectations for the Accelerator.
During the meeting, participants were informed about companies’ obligations to respect human rights and the scope of their responsibilities under the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights (UNGPs).
Significant attention was given to reviewing the training modules and resources available to participants through the UN Global Compact Academy platform.
In addition, participants had the opportunity to complete a specialized questionnaire designed to assess their company’s position regarding respect for human rights. Throughout the session, participants shared the results of the questionnaire and engaged in discussions about their experiences.
The Business & Human Rights Accelerator is a program tailored for companies that are members of the UN Global Compact. Its goal is to equip companies with the knowledge and skills required to assess their impact on human rights, implement human rights due diligence, and effectively communicate the outcomes of their efforts to relevant stakeholders.
The Business & Human Rights program has been running in Georgia for the third consecutive year, with active participation from companies that are members of the UN Global Compact Network Georgia.
