Fourth International Conference on Financing for Development

Salome Zurabishvili, Executive Director of the UN Global Compact Network Georgia, participated in the Fourth International Conference on Financing for Development (FfD4), held in Seville, Spain, from 30 June to 3 July 2025.

During the conference, the UN Global Compact, together with the Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI), UNEP, and other UN agencies, co-hosted a series of high-level sessions featuring the participation of Sanda Ojiambo, Assistant Secretary-General and CEO of the UN Global Compact.

Conference participants engaged in high-level discussions, including at the International Business Forum, where business leaders, investors, and financial institutions explored ways to advance sustainable finance and mobilize SDG-aligned investments amid an increasingly uncertain global environment.

As part of the programme, Salome Zurabishvili delivered the closing address at the side event on Sustainable Finance in Fragile Contexts, hosted by UN Global Compact Network Nigeria, and took part in insightful discussions organized by the Spain, France, and UK UN Global Compact country networks.
