Salome Zurabishvili
Executive Director
Salome Zurabishvili founded and has been heading the Local Network of the UN Global Compact initiative in Georgia since February 2016. She also serves as the Chair for the Regional Network Council for Eastern Europe and as a Member of the Global Network Council at the United Nations Global Compact. Salome is a Human Rights Lawyer with substantive academic knowledge and experience in the field of corporate sustainability. Her professional experience counts eleven years in the NGO, INGO, Public and Academic Sectors. Salome is a winner of Forbes Georgia 30 under 30, Class of 2020. She is a Swedish Institute Visby Programme Alumnus and holds Master’s Degree from Lund University, Sweden in International Human Rights Law and Labour Rights. Salome is the European Parliament’s Sakharov Fellow.
Nino Kvantrishvili
Deputy Executive Director
Nino Kvantrishvili, Deputy Executive Director of UN Global Compact Network Georgia, brings 20 years of experience in strategic communications and corporate sustainability. Nino joined the UN Global Compact Georgia Network team in 2020 as Senior Manager of Sustainability and Partnerships.
Before her current role, Nino served as the head of the Strategic Communications and Public Relations Department at the Ministry of Defense of Georgia from 2019 to 2020. She also held positions at the Embassy of Georgia in the Kingdom of the Netherlands from 2011 to 2014 and again from 2016 to 2019, as well as in the European Integration Committee of the Parliament of Georgia from 2014 to 2017, where she was the head of the Public Relations and Civil Events Planning Department.
Nino has extensive experience in corporate sustainability, public-private dialogue, project management, and strategic communications. Also in community outreach, stakeholder engagement, strategic event management, research, ESG reporting, and analysis.
She holds two master’s degrees: one in media communications from Webster University (2012-2013) with a full scholarship from Stan Storimans, and another in media communications management from the Institute of Public Affairs-GIPA (2006-2008). Nino earned her bachelor’s degree in TV Journalism from Tbilisi State University – Faculty of Journalism (2001-2005).
Bakur Kvaratskhelia
Senior Manager, Projects and Fundraising
Bakur Kvaratskhelia joined the organization in September 2020. Prior to that, he worked as a Deputy Environmental Ombudsman. Bakur has experience of working in diplomatic service, as a public servant, and in international organizations. He has previously worked at Georgian embassies in Estonia and India, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, and the Agency of Protected Areas of Georgia.
Bakur is an alumnus of several US government-funded exchange programs. Within the frame of the Fulbright Graduate Exchange program, he studied international relations at New York University.
Temur Tkeshelashvili
Senior Manager, Finances
Temur Tkeshelashvili joined UN Global Compact Network Georgia in September 2021, serving as a Senior Manager in Finances. He has 10 years of experience working for international and private local companies. Before working at UNGCNG, Temo was the Financial Auditor of the International Audit Company, BDO’s Georgia Office. After graduating from Komarov Physics and Mathematics School in 2008, Temo continued his studies at Caucasus University, where he received a bachelor’s degree in financial auditing.
Ana Dgebuadze
Senior Manager, Administration
Ana Dgebuadze has been working as an Administrative and Procurement Manager since 2020.
She is graduated from I. Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, Faculty of Law with a Bachelor’s degree and she has a MA degree in Private Law from Caucasus International University.
Ana has been working as in the public and also in private sectors since 2011. Including the Central Election Commission of Georgia and several law companies in the legal and administrative fields. She has also worked in the private business in the field of tourism, where she has been involved in many local and international projects.
Tamar Ghunashvili
Senior Manager, Strategic Communications
Tamar Ghunashvili joined the team in 2022. Tamar has up to 16 years of experience in the media and Public Sector.
From 2008-2012 Tamar worked as an assistant to the chairperson of the Healthcare and Social Issues Committee in the Parliament of Georgia. In 2013 she joined the Public Relations Department of the Parliament of Georgia, where she worked as a chief specialist. Before that, Tamar worked as an intern reporter at Georgian Public Broadcasting Radio and as a reporter at the publishing house “Navigator”.
Tamar Ghunashvili has a higher education in Journalism (Bachelor`s degree, Tbilisi State University) and Public Administration (Master`s degree, Georgian Institute of Public Affairs)
Tamar is an alumnus of the US government and European Parliament-funded exchange programs.
Keti Botchorishvili
Manager of Accelerator Programs and Academy
Keti Botchorishvili has 8 years of work experience in managing educational programs and relations with international donor organizations. Keti joined the team in August 2021. In 2020-2021 she was the head of the Training Center at Legal Aid Service of Georgia, in 2015-2020 Keti worked as a Training Management Unit Consultant at the High School of Justice and in 2013-2015 she worked as a coordinator at the International School of Business.
Keti has 5 years of experience in the academic field, currently lecturing at Ilia State University for BA students on “Fundamentals of Business”.
Keti Botchorishvili has a bachelor’s degree in business administration (Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University) and a master’s degree in business administration (Ilia State University).
Maya Giorgadze
Partnerships and Private Sector Engagement Manager
Maya (Mako) Giorgadze serves as the Partnerships and Private Sector Engagement Manager at the UN Global Compact Network Georgia. With over 17 years of experience in administrative operations management, economic affairs, and public-private partnerships, she is a highly skilled professional and team leader. Maya’s career includes significant roles at American Councils, where she administered US State Department educational programs, and several managerial positions in the private sector. She has also held senior positions in the public sector, focusing on economics, international relations, and law enforcement cooperation, both in Georgia and abroad.
Maya is an alumna of several US government-funded exchange programs. She holds a Master’s Degree in International Affairs from Tufts University’s Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy and a postgraduate degree in the Anti-Corruption Collective Action Program from the International Anti-Corruption Academy in Austria.
Akaki Kukhaleishvili
Business & Human Rights Manager
Akaki Kukhaleishvili joined the UN Global Compact Network Georgia in 2023 as a Business and Human Rights manager. Akaki is a graduate of Human Rights programs at the Riga Graduate School of Law and the Human Rights Centre at the University of Essex. He has 10 years of experience in human rights. Akaki was involved as a researcher in a national baseline assessment on business and human rights in Georgia. He has prepared and published a number of works, articles, and reports in the field of human rights, including business and human rights.
Before that, he worked in the Office of the Public Defender, where he held various positions, including the position of legal researcher, researcher-analyst, senior specialist, and later the position of deputy head of the National Prevention Mechanism Department. He was also a specialist at the Regional Center for the Study and Promotion of Constitutionalism and completed an internship at the European Human Rights Advocacy Center.
Lizi Lezhava
Manager, Business Relations and Partnerships
Lizi Lezhava joined the UN Global Compact Network Georgia in 2023. She earned her bachelor’s degree in law from Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University and later pursued a master’s degree (LL.M.) in European and International Business Law from the Freie Universität Berlin.
Lizi serves as the Business Relations and Partnership Project Development Manager at UN Global Compact Network Georgia. Her focus includes EU integration issues related to corporate sustainability and advocating for aligning the Georgian business sector with European standards and regulations. Before this role, Lizi was engaged in civil organizations, contributing to advancing responsible business practices through various projects.
