Visit of H.E. the Ambassador of Kingdom of Sweden to Georgia – Anna Lyberg

The Ambassador of the Kingdom of Sweden to Georgia, Anna Lyberg, conducted a meeting with the UN Global Compact Network Georgia team.

The UN Global Compact Network Georgia has started a new phase of cooperation with the Swedish government. The second phase of the “Leadership for Sustainable Development in Georgia” project began in January 2024 and will continue until the end of 2027.

The project aims to accelerate and increase business engagement in implementing the sustainable development agenda in Georgia through ambitious goals, increased accountability, creating an enabling environment, and deepening multi-sector cooperation.

The UN Global Compact Network Georgia executive director, Salome Zurabishvili, introduced the network’s mission, main activities, and future plans to the ambassador.

Since 2018, the Swedish government has been supporting the activities of the UN Global Compact Network Georgia.Erik Illes, Deputy Head of Development Cooperation at the Embassy, the program officer of the Swedish Embassy, Tina Genebashvili, and the team of the UN Global Compact Network Georgia participated in the meeting.
