Peer Learning Group for Anti-Corruption Collective Action

On December 20, the UN Global Compact Network Georgia convened the first session of the Peer Learning Group for Anti-Corruption Collective Action.

Nino Kvantrishvili, Deputy Executive Director of the UN Global Compact Network Georgia, delivered opening remarks to the participants. Maya Giorgadze, Manager of Partnerships and Relations with the Private Sector at the UN Global Compact Network Georgia, led the peer learning group. She presented the attendees with insights and international best practices from the Anti-Corruption Collective Action Playbook developed by the UN Global Compact.Representatives from 10 UN Global Compact Network Georgia member companies participated in the meeting.

The fight against corruption, acknowledged as one of the ten principles of the UN Global Compact, was emphasized during the session. Corruption, recognized as a significant impediment to global economic and social development, negatively impacts the pursuit of sustainable development. The peer learning group is a valuable platform for establishing a network of like-minded professionals, enabling participating companies to exchange best practices and solutions addressing critical sustainability issues.
