Foundation “Partnership for Road Safety” is one of the leading organizations in Georgia that promotes road safety and sustainable transport through research, advocacy, education and awareness raising projects. Through this effort the foundation aims to reduce the high number of deaths and injuries as a result of traffic accidents and to create a healthy environment. It was founded in 2006 with the support of the International Automobile Federation (FIA) Foundation, the British Embassy and local Georgian organizations.

Partnership for Road Safety is a member of several international organizations, which provides an opportunity to share international best practices. Since 2006, the organization has been a member of the FIA Foundation platform, since 2011 it became a member of Eastern Alliance for Safe and Sustainable Transport (EASST). In 2013, the Foundation became a member of the Global Alliance of the NGOs for Road Safety. In 2012, the partnership has been awarded a prestigious Prince Michael International Road Safety award.

Priorities:
The Partnership for Road Safety Foundation aims to carry out activities related to the UN Sustainable Development Goals, in particular to promote the following areas:

• Reducing poverty and improving sustainable economic growth through the development of an affordable, inclusive transport system;
• Improving road safety;
• Supporting public transport to respond the needs of vulnerable groups, women, children, persons with disabilities and the elderly;
• Promoting energy saving and clean vehicles;
• Reducing air pollution within the transport sector.
