LEPL "Georgian Association of Mediators"
The Georgian Association of Mediators is a membership-based Legal Entity of Public Law (LEPL) that was founded by the General Assembly of 54 mediators on December 14th, 2019 as per Georgian Law on Mediation.
The Association aims at: regulating mediators’ work and making mediation widely accessible; developing mediator’s profession and defining qualification standards for mediators; defining ethics standards for mediators and ensuring their legislative and disciplinary enforcement; ensuring uninterrupted implementation of private and court mediation; promoting mediation as an alternate mechanism for managing disputes; protecting the rights of mediators; implementing and developing best practices of mediation in Georgia.
Priorities:
Human rights, labor rights.
Decision-making on partnership projects:
NGOs are welcome to proactively reach out with cooperation ideas.
