UN Global Compact Network Georgia Board Chair, Ms Ekaterine Laliashvili Participated in the Practitioners Roundtable Meeting

On the sidelines of CSW67, the United Nations Global Compact convened business leaders to discuss how the private sector can accelerate Gender Equality and effectively engage men as allies in the workplace and beyond.

UN Global Compact Network Georgia Board Chair, Ms Ekaterine Laliashvili participated in the Practitioners Roundtable meeting. The Practioner’s Roundtable on “Taking Effective Action to Engage Men to Propel the Women’s Empowerment Principles”, enabled a candid discussion and featured best practices to promote diversity, equity, and empowerment in business.

Corporate leaders around the world increasingly recognize #GenderEquality as a critical business issue. Improving workplace cultures can lead to increased creativity, innovation, and productivity. Businesses prioritizing gender equality have a more positive reputation, attract talent and build stronger relationships with customers and stakeholders.

After the workshops, an official reception was held for the participants at the UN Headquarters, also attended by the Executive Directors of the UN Global Compact Networks.
