Business & Human Rights – Second Workshop
On March 22nd, the UN Global Compact Network Georgia hosted its second workshop on “Business and Human Rights.” Participants received information on the latest EU regulations and human rights due diligence process and explored tools for Identifying actual and potential human rights impacts. The meeting was held in interactive mode. Through a facilitated exercise, attendees reviewed a practical scenario, discussing human rights risks and the importance of businesses respecting human rights.
The Business & Human Rights Acceleration Program is a 6-month UN Global Compact training course that includes both global sessions and local workshops. The goal of the program is to help companies acquire the knowledge and skills to assess their company’s human rights impact, conduct a human rights due diligence process, and communicate their human rights journey to stakeholders and the public.
