United Nations Global Compact Board Meeting in NY – September 17, 2023

On September 17, the UN Global Compact Network Georgia Executive Director Salome Zurabishvili participated in the United Nations Global Compact Board meeting.

At the meeting, which was held at the United Nations Headquarters, board members discussed “Leadership in Times of Crisis,” a report on private sector resilience amid global challenges.

The discussion also touched on themes of unity, reflection, and renewed commitment to move forward faster for 2030.

At the meeting, the Executive Director of UN Global Compact Network Georgia highlighted UN Global Compact Local Networks’ critical role in driving SDG implementation with the business sector locally and facilitating multi-stakeholder partnerships and dialogue around the Agenda 2030. Salome Zurabishvili was elected as a UN Global Compact Board member in February 2023.

The UN Global Compact Network Georgia organized the working visit with support from the Swedish Government.
