A meeting of the Women Empowerment Working Group was held

On May 30, the next meeting of the Working Group on Women’s Empowerment in the Business Sector was held. The participants of the meeting discussed current and future activities. The importance and format of joint remittances to promote women in the business sector were also discussed. 

During the meeting, the participants talked about the importance of the involvement of company leaders in all stages of the implementation of the principles of women’s empowerment. Cida presents international and local statistics to show the growth of the motivation of the company’s leaders and to better represent the business benefits. 

The participants of the meeting also discussed future plans. An outreach meeting will be held for the members of the working group, focusing on gender equality and diversity issues. The meeting will address the following key thematic issues: Principles for the Empowerment of Women, Inequality in Labor Relations, Gender Discrimination, Harassment, and Sexual Harassment in the Workplace. 

The Women Empowerment Group was established in 2016 and currently has 17 member companies. Of these, 14 companies are adopting 3-year action plans for women empowerment principles. 

The main task of the working group is to share information, experience and plan joint activities.
