Meeting of the Board of the Global Compact Network Georgia

The meeting of the Board of the Secretariat of the Global Compact Network Georgia (GCNG) was held on January 17. The committee members discussed the 2017 Action Plan, the organizational issues of the first general meeting of the network (to be held on January 27, 2017), the network strategy, and the local network financial model of the Global Compact.Georgian Network Contact Person – Salome Zurabishvili gave a brief overview of the activities carried out in 2016, including local events organized by GCNG, as well as international events organized by the Global Compact headquarters, in which the local network participated. The committee reviewed the 2017 Action Plan, which includes various types of measures, including: Creating a Global Compact Local Area Network website, organizing an organization seminar, initiating and implementing joint CSR initiatives, promoting women empowerment (WEPs) programs in member companies, and connecting with NGOs working in the field. Organizing an annual thematic conference, adding new members, etc. Activities by the Civil Development Agency (CiDA) on Corporate Social Responsibility are supported by the East-West Management Institute (EWMI) ACCESS project – funded by USAID.
