cooperation agreement with the International Financial Corporation (IFC) and CIDA

To promote environmental, social, and corporate governance in the #ESG practices in Georgia, CIDA/UN Global Compact Network Georgia signed a cooperation agreement with the International Financial Corporation (IFC). 

The four-year partnership will help develop the first ever ESG Manual in Georgia, deliver workshops and trainings to raise awareness about the benefits of the ESG standards among Georgian companies and stakeholders. IFC will also strengthen capacity of CIDA through subject-specific trainings of trainers (ToTs) for CIDA on ESG topics.

All this would help CIDA promote its wider agenda in achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals by Georgian business circles and the state authorities.

IFC implements its Environmental, Social, and Governance Advisory Services Program in Europe and Central Asia in partnership with the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs SECO.
