Mediation and Business: An Alternative Dispute Resolution Mechanism

The Georgian Mediators Association and the Global Compact Georgia Network organized a discussion on “Mediation – An Alternative Dispute Resolution Mechanism in the Business Sector.”

The discussion was opened by Irakli Kandashvili, Chairman of the Mediators Association, Salome Zurabishvili, Head of the Global Compact Georgia Network, and Tinatin Genebashvili, Program Development Officer at the Swedish Embassy.

The event, which aims to present the essence of mediation and get acquainted with the news in this field, was attended by representatives of the government, business and the courts. At the meeting, representatives of the business sector were provided with information on judicial and non-judicial forms of mediation; Learnt about the benefits of mediation and the rules for appointing a mediator. The meeting was supported by the Government of Sweden.
