POLICY WORKSHOP ON THE DRAFT LAW ON SECURITIZATION REFORM UNDER THE PPD PLATFORM IN THE PARLIAMENT

On December 20, UN Global Compact Network Georgia and the Budget and Finance Committee of the Parliament of Georgia, with support of the USAID Economic Governance Program, and in partnership with the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia and the National Bank of Georgia hold a working meeting for the members of the Parliament to discuss Securitization Reform under the PPD Platform in the Parliament.

During the working meeting, parties discussed the institutional framework of the Draft Law; General overview, novelties, new procedures, instruments, and key aspects. Also, a legislation communication paper on Securitization reform was presented at the working meeting.

In addition, the meeting participants discussed ongoing activities to facilitate dialogue between the Parliament and the private sector on selected economic reforms and promote the establishment of a sustainable PPD platform in the Parliament.

The meeting was held under the USAID Economic Governance Program’s grant activity, “Promote capacity building and enhance the sustainability of the PPD Platform in the Parliament of Georgia,” implemented by the UN Global Compact Network Georgia in partnership with the Parliament of Georgia.
